Nutrition and Lifestyle

I provide personalised consultations that assess your overall lifestyle and recommend necessary changes to align your body with the natural flow of energy. Many of us are entrenched in habits that harm our physical and mental well-being, often without realising it as these habits operate in the background. These habits may involve our dietary choices, eating habits, exercise routines, movement patterns, and more. By working together, we can identify and implement small changes that will significantly improve your overall health. I navigated this journey alone without guidance, but you don’t have to. Together, we will address daily routines, stress factors, exercise regimens, dietary habits, relaxation techniques, and sleep patterns.

I experienced digestive issues intermittently for approximately 25 years, including symptoms such as bloating, gas, loose stools, discoloured stools, and cramps. Prior to that in my 20s I had about 10 years of repeated UTIs and was finally diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I have also dealt with periodic stiffness in my neck and back, with severe pain in my back at one point in my late 30s, accompanied by  numbness in my legs and difficulty turning my neck. During perimenopause, my digestive problems worsened, and I developed additional symptoms such as emotional mood swings, irritability, sleep disturbances, joint pain, hot flushes, low mood, shaky hands and head, shaky/loss of voice, and cold sensitivity. Most of these symptoms are now gone. Some come back once in a while during stressful periods.

My primary method of healing has always been through diet, focusing on a healthy plant-based diet for the past decade. I consume plenty of vegetables, legumes, and fruits, opting for organic options whenever possible. I avoid processed foods, prioritise hydration with water and herbal tea, and have abstained from alcohol for the past 10 years. Additionally, I have been running for two years and maintain a daily yoga, pranayama and meditation practice. I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I’ve ever been. I have invested significant amounts of money and time unnecessarily on supplements and testing over the years, and I hope to prevent others from making the same mistakes that I made. While the food we consume impacts our body and mind, I believe that one’s mindset is the key factor in attaining optimal health. I had to reevaluate numerous habits related to nutrition, including many that I had learned during my nutrition studies.

I believe in the importance of understanding the truth about healing from the outset, which may involve making significant lifestyle changes. Are you willing to commit to the necessary adjustments to lead a fulfilling life in optimal health? If you are interested in further discussion, please reach out to schedule a discovery call where we can review your past efforts and explore potential suggestions. We can then decide if we would like to continue on this journey towards optimum health.
